Century old temple 真人宫 - 保生大帝 Zhen Ren Gong Temple
Founded in 1912 along Henderson Road, the temple was later moved to the junction of Henderson Road and Jalan Bukit Merah.
The temple history traces back to 1912, when a group of young immigrants from Fujian, China brought the sacred robes of their deity, 保生大帝, here to Singapore.
The temple has played an important role in fostering Singapore's multiracial and multi-religious society, taking part in community initiatives to promote religious harmony and to assist the underprivileged in the community.
